WACCPS Governance Structure

Board of Directors

(Composed of professionals in clinical physiology and education)

• Oversight & Strategic Direction.
• Responsible for policy formulation, accreditation compliance, and long-term vision.

Academic Council:

(Led by Appointed Professor, and members consist of Professors of Physiology, Medical Doctors, and Clinical Physiology Professionals)

• Handles curriculum development, examinations, and training standards.
• Includes distinguished professors from West Africa and beyond.

Executive Management Team

Headed by the Registrar (appointed by the Board), focusing on:

• Admission processes
• Registration matters

Other relevant functions includes:

• Director of Administration, responsible for day-to-day administrative services, overseeing.

• Daily management of WACCPS activities

The WACCPS Board/Council consists of a select group of professionals committed to advancing clinical physiology education in West Africa. In line with institutional policy, the Board operates under a structured governance system, with operational leadership delegated to the Academic Council and Executive Management.
